…marriage, business partnership, working relationship…
Chocolate?
No, believe it or not the world does not revolve around chocolate (disputed).
I heard it often said that one of the biggest family feuds over the festive period, is the argument over the ‘big tin’ of sweets – whichever brand you favour:
- Who likes what – which is your favourite?
- Which get eaten first, and then which next
- Who gets left with the duds
- Who puts the empty wrappers back in the box (aarrgh!!!)
And that the secret to the feeling of calm is that your soul-mate should eat the ones that you don’t like and vice versa – a match made in heaven (and shares your views on wrappers in/out)
Now, I need someone who will eat Strawberry creams and not fight me for the toffees, or in this year’s case eat the Malteasers and Galaxy and let me have the Bounty and Snickers (guess who bought Celebrations this year)
The essence of this is that we are all different, and by teaming up with someone (or more than one– but not usually in a marriage context) you can each bring different things to the relationship.
Team Up
You may need to team up with someone who can do something that you cannot, or simply free up your time by focusing on what you are good at, so that you can do more of the thing you love.
I realise how precious time is –
My website (and blog) is expertly managed by Jonathan at Fairly Marvellous
Sally, my fabulous PA, organises my office and does all the admin tasks that let me concentrate on helping clients with their Financial Planning and realising their goals
My Pilates instructor, Lynn – keeps me physically in shape
and my lovely husband Phil, eats the Strawberry creams – Merry Christmas!
