I know one of the big things that puts people off getting help with their money and wealth-building, is the thought of having to share their financial stuff with someone else.
So I want to be totally straight with you here:
I’m not going to financially ‘out’ you.
I don’t care how big your overdraft is, or the fact that you never got around to making a will or setting up a pension, or that your business isn’t making as much as you want yet. I don’t care if your last launch wasn’t quite as brilliant as it may have appeared from your social media.
I’m not going to judge you. Ever.
It’s just not who I am.
And let’s be honest – when it comes to all your financial stuff, the scariest thing is often admitting to yourself the reality of the situation that you’re in.
It’s like you know you need to get some help and support, to actually sort everything out… but if you reach and speak to somebody, what will they think of you?
Will they look at the amount of money coming through your business and secretly judge you for it? Will they think you should be doing better at managing it all?
Well, no, not really.
It’s not stuff we’re taught at school and to be fair, even most business coaches teach very little about what to do with all the money. They’ll teach you how to make sales, attract an audience, bring people in and sell them your thing… but no-one then tells you what to do with the money that you make!
So you can get yourself in a bit of a jumble.
You’re not sure how much profit you make. You haven’t got the right money for tax and you’re never quite sure when is the best time to expand your team or take on some support, because you don’t know if it’s sustainable.
Well, the good news is, I’m here to help!
And having built a business from the ground up, I’ve been where you are. I can almost guarantee it. I’ve had months where there’s been no money. I’ve had months where I’ve wondered how I’ll make payroll. I’ve had launches that went flop. Not even flop, just fizzle. That ball of tumbleweed, where literally nobody bought.
But I’m not here to judge you. And I’m certainly not about to share anything about the work that we do together online!
You may or may not know that I used to be a pharmacist. When I left school, I had this big thing about helping people. I love chemistry and pharmacy was a great career, until it wasn’t. Eventually all the bureaucracy caught up and I realised the customer focus was drifting away.
I’m telling you this now because at the heart of being a pharmacist, is the confidentiality that you keep. You can’t discuss people’s medication or medical conditions with people outside. It’s just not how it works. And I’m not any different now as a Financial Adviser and Money Coach.
In fact, sometimes the need to keep things private and confidential goes against me as a business owner. I don’t shout about the successes my clients have maybe as often or as loudly as I should, because above all else, I want to maintain their privacy.
So what can I promise you about our time together? And about me keeping you in my confidence?
Well, the first thing is that nobody will know we are working together, unless you tell them.
I don’t put the names of people who’ve joined my programmes online. I don’t tag people in posts. Up until the point where you choose to share a testimonial or say something yourself, I will post nothing about you at all. Ever. Your secret is safe with me.
I’ve worked with business owners who are starting out in business all the way through to those that are making millions of pounds per year, but most of them, you’d never know!
The other thing that I can promise you is that your information isn’t going to get shared with anyone who doesn’t need to know it.
My team have got all the procedures in place to maintain confidentiality and ultimately, it’s me that you’re working with.
In the online space, it’s pretty common to sign up for a programme and find that you don’t actually get much time with the person you’ve invested in, rather a whole load of associate coaches and other people that you maybe weren’t expecting. Which is not the case here – it’s my business, it’s me you get to work with and nothing about you is going to be shared with people that you weren’t anticipating.
And finally, if you’re part of a group experience with me – whether that’s a retreat, or a group Zoom call or anything else – there are always ways that you can ask your questions privately.
In fact, one of the reasons I really like Zoom as a way to bring together my 1:1 clients in The Asset Accelerator® and other programmes I run, is because you can work on your stuff, I can work on mine and everybody can keep their stuff private. There’s that nice private chat option (the little arrow next to the chat at the bottom of the screen). It’s a brilliant way to give yourself that dedicated regular time to make actual progress on all your financial stuff, and get the help you need, without having to share what you’re doing with anyone else if you don’t want to.
So there you go!
If you’re potentially interested in finding out more about working together and how I can help you sort out all your money stuff, just click here to send me a private message and we can chat.
But of all the reasons that you might think about getting help and hold back – please don’t let it be the fear that people might judge you. Please don’t let that get in the way of finally sorting out your finances, taking control and making sure the money you need for the future IS there, while living the life you want along the way.
And certainly don’t let the idea that people might find out that all is not quite as it seems with your business or personal finances stop you… because they won’t hear it from me!
Until next time,
Claire
